It will feature 71 villas and 68 suites, a beach club, a spa influenced by Balinese traditions, and signature dining by Michelin-starred chef Dave Pynt at The Ledge. The resort aims to provide an ultra-luxury experience with a blend of high-end hospitality, local culture, and experiential travel, located on Sawangan Beach.



Artel Linzhi is a lifestyle boutique resort located in Lulang International Tourism Town, Linzhi County, Tibet Autonomous Region. Architecturally, the resort draws inspiration from traditional Tibetan architecture and is painted in an all-white stucco to clearly delineate its silhouette against the towering mountains. Only the roofing structures are built in traditional colours. Overlooking Tang Ludo Lake, the resort has 76 guest rooms and 9 villas on the edge of the lake.

The unique geography of the site lies in its dramatic juxtaposition of a high-elevation viewpoint with the iconic outcrops of limestone karsts in Phang Nga Bay and its extensive mangrove forests. Rishikesh is an ancient holy city in northern India, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas along the sacred Ganges River. It is known as the "Yoga Capital of the World" and is a major pilgrimage site for Hindus. It is the starting point for the Char Dham Yatra, a major Hindu pilgrimage circuit to several shrines. Its history is a blend of Hindu mythology, ancient spiritual traditions, and modern spiritual seeking. The 70 villa resort is situated on a steeply sloping site overlooking the Ganges, and has panoramic views of the valleys and distant hills. A secluded oasis of tranquility, the design blends Himalayan architecture with traditional design in a contemporary sensibility.






The Star Art Gallery is a notable architectural project in Anning City, Kunming, China. It was designed as both a temporary sales gallery and a permanent art gallery for the municipal government. The building's design was inspired by the elevated site, which offers clear views of the surrounding mountains and night sky. The goal was to capture these views and the "constellation" theme within the building's design. The two-story structure features high ceilings and extensive transparency, allowing the mountain views to be a central part of the design. Faceted roofs and walls merge into a contiguous entity, reflecting the myriad folds of the mountains and the clear night views of the Milky Way from the site.

Originally known as "The Fijian," it was built in 1967, and is a luxurious resort located on its own private island, connected to the mainland of Viti Levu by a causeway. MAPS renovated all the existing food and beverage outlets to give them a contemporary update in terms of aesthetics and food concepts. These include the Lagoon Terrace Restaurant, Golden Cowrie Coastal Italian, Takali Kitchen and Black Marlin Tropical Bar. A layered, textured design palette aims to redefine luxury as a subtle mix of comfort and artisanal craftsmanship. A sense of place is evoked through reinterpreting local vernacular themes, colours, and materials in a subtle manner.

Situated within the grounds of a new 130 hectares golf course and golf residences, this resort is near to the Dabolim International Airport. A 350-key resort, including 17 villas, it overlooks the sea as well as a lake and golf course. Rooms are designed around a central lush courtyard garden with extensive lagoon pools.






The Chinese developer Poly's presence in Shanwei, China, is primarily focused on its major real estate and resort development, the Poly Jindingwan project, also known as Gold Ting Harbour or Jincheng Bay. This large-scale coastal tourism and property development is a significant landmark in the region. The residential apartments are all designed to have sea views, including a series of 16 villas right on the beachfront.

The Shangri-La Singapore's Garden Wing has 158 rooms and suites. After an extensive renovation in 2012, its design concept transformed it into an urban resort with a nature-inspired, tranquil environment. The building is surrounded by 15 acres of lush tropical gardens with cascading waterfalls, koi ponds, and terraced landscapes. All rooms and suites incorporate natural themes, using design elements like dark wood floors and furniture, rattan features, and textured rugs to create a tropical resort feel.






Paro is a historic and picturesque valley town in western Bhutan, known for its sacred sites, scenic beauty, and being home to the country's only international airport. Nestled on the banks of the Paro Chhu river, the valley is known for its terraced paddy fields, dense forests, and traditional architecture. The 30-villa resort consists of a series of villas overlooking the peak of Jhomolhari, the second highest mountain in Bhutan. The ancient ruin of of Drukgyel Dzong. considered to be the most beautiful and famous archaeological sites in Bhutan, is also visible.



Leonie Hill is a prestigious residential area in Singapore's upscale River Valley enclave (District 9), near Orchard Road's shopping belt. This residential tower is designed to be a unique “vertical garden in a vertical city" concept for a tropical high-rise condominium, integrating nature through biophilic design, and incorporating lush, private terraces and communal sky gardens. Key design strategies include planting indigenous tropical flora on facades and terraces, utilizing natural ventilation and shading to manage heat, integrating water features and natural materials, and designing elevated green spaces that connect residents to the natural world amidst the urban density. This approach fosters an intimate connection to nature, improves air quality, reduces stress, and creates a vibrant, resort-like living experience.

Springleaf Residence by GuocoLand is a new, nature-integrated condominium in Singapore's Upper Thomson area. The 941-unit project uniquely incorporates a conserved heritage building—the former Upper Thomson Secondary School (built in 1965)—into its design. With 77% of the 344,700 sq ft site dedicated to landscaping and facilities, Springleaf Residence is designed as a sanctuary that blends urban living with natural serenity. It is also Singapore's first biodiversity-sensitive condo, with features designed to protect the surrounding ecology and wildlife. MAPS is the interior designer for the entire project as well as the facilities designer for the communal facilities such as garden pavilions and the conserved heritage block, which partially contains community-focused amenities such as a gym, study room, and arts and crafts room.






This residence in Cove Drive, Sentosa, is part of a collection of five individual villas facing the waterfront of Singapore. Each is individually tailored to respond to the complex geometries of the sites. The owners called this residence the “Trumpet House” due to the triangular frontage, and the resultant facade of an angled wall responding to the boundaries. A double-volume entrance way allows the spaces to flow across the three levels in a multi-dimensional manner. Stairs are layered above each other as sculptural objects, heightening the soaring spaces. Views are directed towards the sea.






Located north of Phuket in Khao Lak, the resort’s accommodations, comprising 283 rooms, suites, and villas, span from 50m² to 124m². Select ground-floor units provide immediate access to lagoon pools. Clustered around a central landscaped garden with the main pool, most of the rooms have sea views.




Also known as the University of Wisdom Land, this is a Buddhist academy located near Yangon, Myanmar. Its campus is outside the central city, along the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, in the Hlegu Township. The university's curriculum centers on Buddhist traditional education, with teachings from the Tipitaka, the core Buddhist scriptures. It was founded by Ashin Nandamālābhivaṃsa, a respected monk and scholar. The institution's guiding principles emphasize living and practicing Buddhist traditions while using modern teaching methods. Architecturally, a simple precast method of construction is utilized, with the wall textures reflecting the colors of the monks’ robes, and cut-outs on the walls allowing internal lights to create a subtle night illumination in the courtyards.


The Hilton Mandalay has 231 rooms and is a luxury hotel with a prime location overlooking the Royal Palace and its surrounding moat. Situated in the ancient heart of Mandalay, the former royal capital of Myanmar, the hotel offers views of Mandalay Hill and the palace from its grounds. The existing building is renovated and upgraded to reflect contemporary needs while the interiors are gutted out to create a light-filled, soaring volume in the lobby that reinterprets traditional Burmese temples.




Located in a hill station in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, India, the resort has 130 guest rooms in cascading blocks on a steep hillside overlooking the mountain ranges of the Himalayas. From here, there are stunning, panoramic views of the Shivalik Range on one side and the snow-capped Greater Himalayas on the other. Offering easy access from Chandigarh and Shimla, Kasauli is characterized by historic buildings and misty pine forests. Architecturally, inspiration is drawn from the colonial British Cantonment of the 1800s.



Cam Ranh Bay is a deep-water bay in the Khánh Hòa Province of Vietnam, on the country's southeastern coast. With its pristine white sand beaches, clear blue water, and islands with vibrant coral reefs, Cam Ranh Bay has become an emerging resort destination. While tourism is growing, it remains less crowded than more established Vietnamese beaches. The resort sits on a hill mound that slopes down towards the sea. A high rise hotel block overlooks a series of villas nearer the beach.


Opened in 1973, the hotel was built as Malaysia's first five-star resort and was the first international venture for the Shangri-La Group. From its inception, the hotel prioritized the natural environment, preserving eight massive, decades-old rain trees during its construction. These iconic trees remain a stunning feature of the resort's 30-acre grounds. MAPS renovated the rooms for the Garden Wing in 2010, aligning the interior concept with the tropical themes that Shangri-La used in the Garden Wing of Singapore’s Shangri-La, also renovated by MAPS.



White House Residences is a freehold luxury development on a 45,731 sq ft site in Singapore, comprising 12 units consisting of 8 duplex condominium units and 4 strata semi-detached units. It is located in a charming and tranquil location within a private enclave surrounded by colonial houses and is also in close proximity to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The low rise architectural design is inspired by a modern take on the British colonial black-and-white bungalows in the vicinity.






Located in Sentosa Cove, Singapore, this intimate house sits on a plot of 8,000 sq ft. The design sets out to capture the site’s dramatic views of the long waterway coming into Sentosa from the sea. The swimming pool extends the visual impact of the waterway by bringing the sense of water right into the main entrance of the house. A series of timber columns continues the concept of indoor-outdoor ambiguity. The presence of indeterminate realms continues on the second story where the internal courtyard is the anchor of the surrounding spaces.






Turtle Rock, or Melkhii Khad, is a large, turtle-shaped rock formation in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, approximately 55 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The rock is famous for its unique shape created by millions of years of wind and rain erosion. According to local legends, it was once used by a Khan to hide his treasures during a battle. The hotel is a 150 key structure facing the valley with the mountains as the backdrop. Stone cladded walls echo these mountains while recessed glazing prevent glare during the daytime.



Located in Foshan, near to Guangzhou, this is an adaptive reuse of a former ceramics factory into a contemporary art museum, emphasizing the preservation and amplification of the building’s industrial structure through additions and glass extensions. The strategy focused on integrating old and new elements, creating a functional and inspiring space that serves both as an exhibition venue and a landmark for the city. Foshan is considered the heart of China's ceramic industry for thousands of years. This museum showcases the development of Shiwan pottery, a style renowned for its vivid figurines and distinctive glazes, and offers a comprehensive overview of Chinese ceramic history, production processes, and ancient kilns.


Palau is an island country in the Micronesia region of western Pacific Ocean. The site overlooks Rock Islands Southern Lagoon which covers more than 100,000 ha and includes some 400 uninhabited limestone islands of volcanic origin. Many of them display unique mushroom-like shapes in turquoise, coral reefed lagoons that sustain a large biodiversity of plant and marine life including the dugong and at least thirteen shark species. Architecturally, the resort’s 100 villas are inspired by traditional roof forms and detailing. All the hotel facilities are located on the steep terrain overlooking the sea, including a valley spa flanking a stream.

Unlike the frantic pace of cities like Shanghai and Beijing, Chengdu is famous for its relaxed lifestyle, where locals leisurely sip tea in teahouses, play mahjong in parks, and enjoy street food. The local concept of "Tianfu Culture" emphasizes living a balanced, aesthetic life. With a continuous history of over 2,300 years, Chengdu is home to several major historical and archaeological sites, dating back to the 3,000 year old Bronze Age civilization to the legacies of the Three Kingdoms. These historical legacies provided ample inspirations for the narratives of the architectural experience amidst the tranquil environment surrounding the site.

This residential project comprises two separate houses built for one family. Located in a prime residential area, the houses are sited on a steeply sloping land. These contours are preserved, while a series of retaining walls allows wide planting strips to be built. Dense vegetation, designed by Bensley Designs, brings nature right into the interiors. Detailing is simple, but not to the extent of trendy reductivism. Spaces flow into one another in ambiguous overlaps. A complex layering of sections also generate varying volumes that articulate private and public domains.






The Danna Langkawi Resort is located in Pantai Kok, near Telaga Harbour Marina in Langkawi, giving guests a view of both the beach and a marina filled with yachts. MAPS design all the ten beach villas in 2018, each featuring its own private infinity pool with a sun deck. Guests can step directly from their villa onto the sandy shores of Pantai Kok. The villas are exceptionally large, ranging from 490 to 1,080 square meters. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with natural light and offer expansive views. The interior reflects a colonial charm with handcrafted woodwork and rich furnishings,




Pan Pacific Hotels Group has managed Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort since 2010. MAPS refurbished the hotel in 2011, successfully strengthening the property's positioning within Bali's highly competitive hospitality market. Since then, the resort has been a three-time winner of the title of "Indonesia's Leading Golf Resort" at the World Travel Awards. It closed permanently in 2017, to make way for a large-scale redevelopment of the site.




Kunming is the capital of China's Yunnan Province, nicknamed the "Spring City" for its mild, year-round climate. Situated on a plateau, it is a political, economic, and cultural hub, serving as a crucial gateway to Southeast Asia. The city blends natural beauty, a rich ethnic culture with diverse minority groups. The hotel overlooks the famous Dianchi Lake, also known as Dian Lake. It is a large freshwater lake, the largest in Yunnan Province and the sixth largest in China, with shores featuring scenic spots like West Hill and Haigeng Park. A central public amenity space surrounded by courtyards is the focus of the design.


Wenchang is a county-level city in the northeast of Hainan Island in China. Since 2016, the city has also been home to China’s newest spaceport, the Wenchang Space Launch Site. This is a significant rocket launch site and China's fourth and southern-most spaceport. Originally a suborbital test center, it now serves as a fully-fledged launch facility for spacecraft. The hotel is located near to the spaceport. Situated on a steep slope overlooking the sea, the building cascades downslope. Guestrooms enjoy panoramic views of the sea.

Hyatt Regency Ho Tram is located on the main coastal road of Ho Tram, which is only 90-minute drive from Ho Chi Minh city and 10 minutes from the world-class golf course The Bluffs (designed by Greg Norman). In the near future, the development of infrastructure will boost the accessibility to Ho Tram from within Vietnam and international market, putting Ho Tram as a fast-emerging destination. Situated on a 9 ha sea fronting land, there are a total of 280 keys and 63 villas designed as branded residences. Hotel amenities include a huge wellness centre built on a hill mound nestled within lush vegetation.

Offering easy access from Chandigarh and Shimla, Kasauli is characterized by historic buildings and misty pine forests. Architecturally, inspiration is drawn from the colonial British Cantonment of the 1800s.



Cam Ranh Bay is a deep-water bay in the Khánh Hòa Province of Vietnam, on the country's southeastern coast. With its pristine white sand beaches, clear blue water, and islands with vibrant coral reefs, Cam Ranh Bay has become an emerging resort destination. While tourism is growing, it remains less crowded than more established Vietnamese beaches. The resort sits on a hill mound that slopes down towards the sea. A high rise hotel block overlooks a series of villas nearer the beach.


Opened in 1973, the hotel was built as Malaysia's first five-star resort and was the first international venture for the Shangri-La Group. From its inception, the hotel prioritized the natural environment, preserving eight massive, decades-old rain trees during its construction. These iconic trees remain a stunning feature of the resort's 30-acre grounds. MAPS renovated the rooms for the Garden Wing in 2010, aligning the interior concept with the tropical themes that Shangri-La used in the Garden Wing of Singapore’s Shangri-La, also renovated by MAPS.



White House Residences is a freehold luxury development on a 45,731 sq ft site in Singapore, comprising 12 units consisting of 8 duplex condominium units and 4 strata semi-detached units. It is located in a charming and tranquil location within a private enclave surrounded by colonial houses and is also in close proximity to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The low rise architectural design is inspired by a modern take on the British colonial black-and-white bungalows in the vicinity.






Located in Sentosa Cove, Singapore, this intimate house sits on a plot of 8,000 sq ft. The design sets out to capture the site’s dramatic views of the long waterway coming into Sentosa from the sea. The swimming pool extends the visual impact of the waterway by bringing the sense of water right into the main entrance of the house. A series of timber columns continues the concept of indoor-outdoor ambiguity. The presence of indeterminate realms continues on the second story where the internal courtyard is the anchor of the surrounding spaces.






Turtle Rock, or Melkhii Khad, is a large, turtle-shaped rock formation in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, approximately 55 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The rock is famous for its unique shape created by millions of years of wind and rain erosion. According to local legends, it was once used by a Khan to hide his treasures during a battle. The hotel is a 150 key structure facing the valley with the mountains as the backdrop. Stone cladded walls echo these mountains while recessed glazing prevent glare during the daytime.



Located in Foshan, near to Guangzhou, this is an adaptive reuse of a former ceramics factory into a contemporary art museum, emphasizing the preservation and amplification of the building’s industrial structure through additions and glass extensions. The strategy focused on integrating old and new elements, creating a functional and inspiring space that serves both as an exhibition venue and a landmark for the city. Foshan is considered the heart of China's ceramic industry for thousands of years. This museum showcases the development of Shiwan pottery, a style renowned for its vivid figurines and distinctive glazes, and offers a comprehensive overview of Chinese ceramic history, production processes, and ancient kilns.


Palau is an island country in the Micronesia region of western Pacific Ocean. The site overlooks Rock Islands Southern Lagoon which covers more than 100,000 ha and includes some 400 uninhabited limestone islands of volcanic origin. Many of them display unique mushroom-like shapes in turquoise, coral reefed lagoons that sustain a large biodiversity of plant and marine life including the dugong and at least thirteen shark species. Architecturally, the resort’s 100 villas are inspired by traditional roof forms and detailing. All the hotel facilities are located on the steep terrain overlooking the sea, including a valley spa flanking a stream.

Unlike the frantic pace of cities like Shanghai and Beijing, Chengdu is famous for its relaxed lifestyle, where locals leisurely sip tea in teahouses, play mahjong in parks, and enjoy street food. The local concept of "Tianfu Culture" emphasizes living a balanced, aesthetic life. With a continuous history of over 2,300 years, Chengdu is home to several major historical and archaeological sites, dating back to the 3,000 year old Bronze Age civilization to the legacies of the Three Kingdoms. These historical legacies provided ample inspirations for the narratives of the architectural experience amidst the tranquil environment surrounding the site.

This residential project comprises two separate houses built for one family. Located in a prime residential area, the houses are sited on a steeply sloping land. These contours are preserved, while a series of retaining walls allows wide planting strips to be built. Dense vegetation, designed by Bensley Designs, brings nature right into the interiors. Detailing is simple, but not to the extent of trendy reductivism. Spaces flow into one another in ambiguous overlaps. A complex layering of sections also generate varying volumes that articulate private and public domains.






The Danna Langkawi Resort is located in Pantai Kok, near Telaga Harbour Marina in Langkawi, giving guests a view of both the beach and a marina filled with yachts. MAPS design all the ten beach villas in 2018, each featuring its own private infinity pool with a sun deck. Guests can step directly from their villa onto the sandy shores of Pantai Kok. The villas are exceptionally large, ranging from 490 to 1,080 square meters. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with natural light and offer expansive views. The interior reflects a colonial charm with handcrafted woodwork and rich furnishings,




Pan Pacific Hotels Group has managed Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort since 2010. MAPS refurbished the hotel in 2011, successfully strengthening the property's positioning within Bali's highly competitive hospitality market. Since then, the resort has been a three-time winner of the title of "Indonesia's Leading Golf Resort" at the World Travel Awards. It closed permanently in 2017, to make way for a large-scale redevelopment of the site.




Kunming is the capital of China's Yunnan Province, nicknamed the "Spring City" for its mild, year-round climate. Situated on a plateau, it is a political, economic, and cultural hub, serving as a crucial gateway to Southeast Asia. The city blends natural beauty, a rich ethnic culture with diverse minority groups. The hotel overlooks the famous Dianchi Lake, also known as Dian Lake. It is a large freshwater lake, the largest in Yunnan Province and the sixth largest in China, with shores featuring scenic spots like West Hill and Haigeng Park. A central public amenity space surrounded by courtyards is the focus of the design.


Wenchang is a county-level city in the northeast of Hainan Island in China. Since 2016, the city has also been home to China’s newest spaceport, the Wenchang Space Launch Site. This is a significant rocket launch site and China's fourth and southern-most spaceport. Originally a suborbital test center, it now serves as a fully-fledged launch facility for spacecraft. The hotel is located near to the spaceport. Situated on a steep slope overlooking the sea, the building cascades downslope. Guestrooms enjoy panoramic views of the sea.
